A Limited Scope Survey is often considered when a full Pre Purchase survey is not required. This may be because only part of the vessel needs to inspected, for example The Hull, or Stern Gear.
Clients more often engage London Barge Surveys to conduct a Limited Scope Survey as a means of evaluating wheather it is worth going ahead with a more expensive Pre Purchase survey.
Whilst this type of survey is less expensive than a full Pre Purchase Survey, it is significantly less detailed and not suitable for applying for insurance or making an important purchasing decisions.
